CZ Elite Soccer Club of Pasadena, today won the prestigious Cal. South U-15 Girls National Cup with a dominating 3 - 1 victory over the San Diego Surf Soccer Club (the number 1 ranked team in the country) in a game played in Rancho Capistrano. The championship game was the culmination of a month long event featuring the top 45 U-15 Club teams in Southern California. The championship victory gave CZ Elite a perfect 6 - 0 - 0 tournament record.

In the championship game, CZ Elite was led offensively by forward Tamia Hasan of Los Osos High School who scored two goals and Victoria Camaj of St. Lucy’s High School. The defense which allowed only three goals throughout the tournament was anchored by three members of the 2009 Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy team that won the Mission League championship, Tera Trujillo, Natalie Zeenni of Arcadia and Katelyn Almeida of Sierra Madre. Tiffany Geer of Valencia High School was in goal while Whitney Tashiro of La Salle, Sydney Dreves of Arcadia High School and Amanda Torres of Temple City High School played valuable minutes off the bench.

"This is a very difficult tournament," say's head coach Cherif Zein (PHS/PCC head coach). “Now we get to move on and compete against other regional winners to see how we match up on a national level. The girls worked hard and earned this great victory".
